Employees from our company were present at an awards ceremony on April 21, 2015 where we received an award from the BBB. The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics is a program of the BBB Center for Character and Ethics. This program is open to all for-profit businesses in northern Colorado and Wyoming and companies must be in good standing with the BBB. We were anonymously nominated for this award several months ago and worked with a group of three students from UNC to complete the application.
Entries are evaluated by an independent panel of judges from within the community based upon the following criteria:
Transformation at the Top: Leadership Commitment to Ethical Practices
Reinforce and Build: Communications of Ethical Practices
Unite the Team: Organizational Commitment to Ethical Practice
Steer Performance: Organizational Commitment to Performance Management Practices
Treasure People: Organizational Commitment to Ethical Human Resources Practices
! Enthusiastically Give Back!: Organizational Commitment to the Community
We featured many items in the application itself. Here are some of the items that met or exceeded the criteria: The "We are Centennial Ag Initiative," our human resource functions, employee surveys, employee training, our grower relationships, winning the Environmental Respect Award, our community service and involvement. We also had letters of recommendation from growers, vendors and the local fire fighters.
We are proud to be a company that prides itself on integrity and invests in its employees. Thank you to all our employees for coming to work and servicing our customers with those same values!
