Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop new prospects
  • Interact with existing growers
  • Manage sales in order to meet profit margins
  • Soils testing
  • Develop nutrient management plans, including, fertilizer recommendations, plans, and budgets
  • Perform field scouting
  • Perform mapping
  • Crop protection recommendations
  • Chemical deliveries
  • Develop maximum sales potential out of assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competitions strengths and weaknesses
  • Builds and maintains quality relations with existing customers and increases customer base and volume of sales on a consistent basis
  • Contacts customers via telephone and in person, as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company
  • Creates custom proposals to meet specific customer requirements in an efficient manner
  • Stays abreast of market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings, and new technologies through available resources
  • Maintains updated, organized files on all accounts in assigned territory
  • Provides timely information to customers

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certified Crop Advisor
  • Driving record in good standing
  • Able to show ability to grow sales
